Persian manuscript on paper, 4ll. of black diagonal nasta'liq on a light blue paper with gold floral scroll illumination, two bands of thin nasta'liq on gold ground above and below, flanked by four panels with illuminated gold ground, each with a line of black nasta'liq, a number of illuminated cartouches, laid down on gold speckled paper, minor staining and scuffing

Another folio from the same album is in the Musée d'art et d'histoire, Geneva, (Pozzi 1971-107/289; Islamic Calligraphy, exhibition catalogue London, 1989, no. 27, pp.110-111). That folio bore the signature of Shah Mahmud Nishapuri.
