SIGNED MUHI AL-KATIB, SAFAVID IRAN, 16TH CENTURY
Persian manuscript on paper, 4ll. of black nasta'liq on gold speckled paper lightly illuminated in gold with animals and foliage, two illuminated triangular panels above and below, one with the signature of Muhi, two lines of black nasta'liq above and below, flanked by two calligraphic panels on gold-speckled blue paper, other cartouches with thin nasta'liq and illuminated pieces, within polychrome rules and gold frame, laid down on gold-speckled blue card, minor rubbing, good condition
