Qianlong (1735-1796)
Comprising a plate decorated to the centre with the nymph Galatea seated in a shell-shaped chariot drawn by dolphins surrounded by nymphs and cupids, 22.9 cm. diam.; a plate decorated with Minerva protecting a sleeping warrior from Cupid's arrows, 22.5 cm. diam.; a plate decorated with 'Les Pèlerins de l'Isle de Cythère' surrounded by gilt lacework at the rim, 23 cm. diam.; and a plate decorated overall with two gentlemen on a riverbank, one looking across with a telescope, 23.2 cm. diam., minor chips and frits, some gilt rubbing (4)
