MARK OF WILLIAM ROBERTSON, LONDON, 1765
Shaped rectangular on stylised hoof feet, with leaf-capped scroll handle, the centre engraved with crest, the underside contemporaneously engraved with scratchweight 9 and the initials E.A, later engraved EA. over Fs.
7 3/8 in. (18.7 cm.) wide; 3 7/8 in. (9.8 cm.) deep
9 oz. (279 gr.)
The armorial and insignia are those of Prince William Augustus, Duke of Cumberland, KG (1721-1765), third son of George III
