The rectangular top with foliate relief and egg-and-dart edge, above a frieze and legs decorated with a trellis pattern on three sides, centered by a shell, with scroll bracket supports

Lot Essay

The table once belonged to Dorothy Hart, the widow of financier Geoffrey Hart, whose collection at Villa Millbrook was assembled under the advise of R. W. Symonds and profiled in a two-part article by C. Musgrave,'At the Villa Millbrook', The Connoisseur, June and July 1965.
