A PAIR OF WILLIAM AND MARY STAINED BEECH CANED SIDE CHAIRS
PART LATE 17TH CENTURY
Each pierced crestrail centered by a crown supported by cherubs, the spiral-turned stiles with knopped finials and floral carving, the carved pierced splat with oval caned panel, above a caned seat with foliate-carved surround, on spiral-turned legs joined by stretchers, the front stretcher carved with a crown and foliage, one with paper label to back seat rail inscribed '#9,' the other stamped 'MM' twice on reverse of back left leg (2)
