In the Aesthetic taste, the flaring neck with stylized floral lappets, painted with a bust-length portrait of a Japanese gentleman, the gold ground chased with cranes and butterflies, the reverse with a bird perched among flowering branches and fan-shaped panels, the angular handles and bracket feet molded as prunus
