Late 19th century, both with impressed monogram and sceptre marks, H and printed decorator's marks, the first incised 13 1/4 - 11 1/4, the second incised 15 - 12 and signed by F(ranz) X(avier) Thallmaier, München
Both finely painted after Defregger with Tyrolean peasants listening to a companion play the zither
13 x 11 in. (33 x 28 cm.) and 15 1/8 x 12¼ in. (38.5 x 31 cm.), within matching giltwood and gesso frames (2)
