Lot Essay

The Minton's shape books refer to this piece as the Queen's Vase and it is likely that the manufactory had access to the Sèvres example that resides in The British Royal Collection. Cf. Marcelle Brunet and Tamara Préaud, Sèvres des Origines a Nos Jours, Fribourg, 1978, p. 188, fig. 193.
