A ROMAN MINIATURE BRONZE STEELYARD AND WEIGHT
CIRCA 2ND-4TH CENTURY A.D.
The beam inscribed with graded divisions and Roman numerals I-IX, with three suspension hooks and acorn-shaped weight, beam 7 in. (18 cm.) long; an Etruscan bronze votive youth with arms outstretched, mounted, circa 5th Century B.C., 4 in. (10 cm.) high; a Roman bronze head of Mars with plumed Corinthian helmet, 1¾ in. (4.5 cm.) high; a bronze dolphin-shaped attachment, 5 in. (12.5 cm.) long, both circa 1st-2nd Century A.D.; a bronze hand clasping a ball, 4th-5th Century A.D., 2 in. (5 cm.) high; and a bronze feline leg support, 3¼ in. (8.5 cm.) high, mounted (6)
