with identifying inscription, 'Villers [sic.] Duke of Buckingham.' (lower left); and with a seal with the motto 'A deo et rege', showing the arms of Charles Stanhope (1753-1829), 3rd Earl of Harrington, with those of his wife Jane, daughter and coheir of Sir John Fleming Bt. (on the reverse of the canvas)
