ATTRIBUTED TO HOLLAND & SONS, MID-19TH CENTURY
Each with a square moulded top above an arched panelled door enclosing a shelf, flanked by panelled uprights with guilloche corbels, on a plinth base, each branded on the underside 'CLAREMONT', numbered to the back '14', and stencilled inside the door '..104' and '1600'

Provenance
Almost certainly supplied to Prince Leopold of Saxe-Coburg (d.1865), later King of the Belgians, for Claremont, Surrey, and recorded there in 1866 following the death of Queen Marie-Amélie, widow of Louis-Philippe (d.1850), the exiled King of France, who had been lent the house by Prince Leopold.
