Marquis de Montesquiou Armagnac--Vintage 1865
In original presentation gift box
Bottle 1 of 10
Pierre de Montesquiou, the current Marquis de Montesquiou, traces his lineage not only to the comte d'Artagnan, Captain of the Musketeers, but ultimately as far back as the 11th century. This aristocratic family is directly tied to the origin of the spirit Armagnac, contained in their estate inventory as long ago as 1431.

Today, Christie's has the great pleasure to auction one of the four remaining bottles of the Marquis de Montesquiou 1865 vintage Armagnac, direct from the distillery in France.

Please note the consignor intends to donate the proceeds of this lot to GoodPlanet, a charitable foundation created and chaired by the renowned French photographer Yann Arthus-Bertrand. GoodPlanet is committed to preserving the environment and promoting sustainable development.
