Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1954 and its subsequent sale on 4 August 1955. Furthermore delivered with a copy of the Patek Philippe servicing invoice dated 8 April 2008 for the total overhaul of the watch and burgundy presentation box. To the best of our knowledge, the present watch has never been offered in public before.

Reference 2508 was launched in 1951 and remained in production until around 1960. The model is illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by Martin Huber & Alan Banbery, 2nd edition, p. 204, pl. 328.
