Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with black dial and applied gold hour markers in 1938 and its subsequent sale on 30 January 1939.

It is believed to be the only example of this reference in yellow gold with such an Art Deco style dial layout known to exist to date.

Reference 677 was launched around 1938 and remained in production during a very short period only.
