LATE SHANG/EARLY WESTERN ZHOU, CIRCA 1000 BC
The thin axe with a square top and flaring out slightly at the edges, ending on a gently curved cutting edge, the long sides notched with small flanges, the top drilled with a small hole, the softly polished stone of an attractive greyish-green tone with dark and lighter inclusions
