A WHITE JADE TRIPOD INCENSE BURNER AND COVER
LATE QING DYNASTY, 19TH/20TH CENTURY
The globular body supported on three short cabriolet feet, each emanating from finely carved ferocious lion-masks, flanked on each side by a further powerfully carved lion-mask suspending a loose ring, the slightly domed cover adorned by a Buddhist lion and its cub, the stone of a semi-translucent, even white tone
