A LOUIS XVI ORMOLU-MOUNTED PORCELAIN STRIKING MANTEL CLOCK
CIRCA 1790
In the form of an amphora, with flowering finial and supported by flanking caryatid figure, above a canted rounded rectangular plinth, on toupie feet, the white enamel Roman and Arabic dial with paste-gem set hands, the Swiss style twin barrels movement with silk suspension, rackwork positioned on the back plate and strike on bell, repairs to plinth, the porcelain most probably late 18th Century Paris
