Lot Essay

The present bowl is an interpretation of a Chenghua 'Palace' bowl of similar decoration such as one illustrated in the Catalogue of the Special Exhibition of Ch'eng-Hua Porcelain Ware, Taipei, 2004, p. 49, no. 23.
