EARLY MING DYNASTY, 14TH/15TH CENTURY

Heavily potted with deep rounded sides supported on a tall foot, mould-impressed on the interior with a continuous scene depicting a meeting between scholars and officials, a banner in the background reading 'Jin Wang' (King of Jin), all below a band of keyfret at the rim and above a central medallion enclosing a turtle, the exterior freely carved with stylised foliate scrolls, covered overall in a thick and lustrous olive green glaze
