A SUMERIAN LIMESTONE BULL-HEAD PROTOME

With large, inlaid eyes, the pupils in black chlorite, bone for the sclerae, under three arching grooved brows, the wide triangular snout with a horizontal incision between the nostrils, the now-missing horns separately made and once inserted into the drilled sides of the raised sockets, the now-missing ears made separately and once inserted below, the edge of the neck contoured for attachment, presumably once to a full figure
