A painted pottery figure of a foreign warrior
Jin or Northern Wei Dynasty
The figure with one leg in kneeling position, legs and feet simply modelled and hollowed with a V-shaped cut-out, wears a close-fitting sectioned helmet with tall finial, large bulging eyes and nose, curled up moustache and exposed teeth, wearing a tunic of fish-scale armour and short sleeves with an incised band (restaurations)
