With swamped two-stage barrel, the breech dated and struck with the initials HR divided by the maker's mark (Neue Støckel 3065 and 5497), plain flat lock with safety-catch and sliding pan-cover with button release, blackened full stock stamped in imitation of rough staghorn and sparsely inlaid with engraved horn plaques, including a pair of male human grotesques about the barrel tang, engraved horn fore-end cap and ramrod-pipe, and original ramrod (pommel rondel replaced)
