With counterfeit Ottoman etched twist barrels encrusted with gold scrollwork at the breeches and muzzles, the breeches involving large cartouches filled with gold spurious calligraphy, chiselled silver fore-sights, the tangs inscribed 1 & 2, signed rounded locks, figured walnut full stocks carved with elaborate scrollwork mouldings in low relief along the undersides and about the barrel tangs, full silver mounts of shaped outline, including spurred pommels cast in low relief, bevelled side-plates and double-eagle escutcheons, silver fore-end caps, and horn-tipped ramrods
