This engraving portrays fireworks held in Nuremberg to celebrate the restoration of peace after the Thirty Years' War within the Holy Roman Empire. -- One other is after Troschel of the same scene and another is by unnamed artists. -- [With:] A Swedish firework celebrating the same event, 1650. -- And two other German firework displays, 1667 and 1747 (Lotz, p.99).
