(Probably) Anonymous sale; Paris, 18 May 1769, lot 31, as 'Un Tableau peint sur toile par Ribera, représentant un Faune qui joue de la Flutte dans sa bordure dorée, h. 2 pieds 9 pouces, l. 2 pieds 2 p. Ce Tableau vient du même cabinet [feu Prince de Carignan]'.
