MARK OF JOHN EMES, LONDON, 1799
The plain, tapering sides with two ribbed bands, gilt interior; together with a George III silver cream jug, mark of Robert Garrard, London, 1808, squat circular, with an applied foliate girdle, the rim with a band of tongue motifs, one side inscribed Present from Lord Cawdor underneath the initials MCS
respectively 4¾ in. (12.2 cm.) high and 6¼ in. (15.8 cm.) long
