standing upon gilded feet, their heads turned to one side, with turquoise enamelled bodies, their vibrant back and wing feathers forming the detachable cover for the hollow body interior; and a pair of quatrefoil enamelled dishes, 18th Century, each painted to the interior with grasshoppers perched upon double peach fruits with further flowerheads lychee and lingzhi, enamelled blue seal to base -- the quail, 6in.
