Das zeichnerische Oeuvre von Giovanni Segantini ist recht klein, insbesondere weil die meisten Blätter Nachzeichnungen seiner Gemälde sind. Dies ist bei unserem Pastell nicht der Fall, es handelt sich viel eher um eine relativ spontan aufs Papier gebrachte Studie.
