The rectangular shaped top above four brass grille and green silk-lined doors enclosing two long and four short adjustable shelves on a plinth base, the hinges stamped 'HUXLEY & CHING', the grilles later

Lot Essay

Huxley castors have been recorded as early as 1820 but Ching does not seem to have joined until the early Victorian period. Messrs Holland & Sons used their metal wares.
