A gilt bronze figure of Amitabha
Tibet, 16th Century
Seated in dhyanasana over a double-lotus base with beaded rims, his right hand in bhumisparsamudra and holding a bowl in his left, wearing diaphanous robes with beaded hems incised in a cloud motif and pooling beneath crossed ankles, the face with raised urna and blue pigment remaining in the hair
