A small bronze figure of Buddha
Northeastern India, Kurkihar, Pala period, 11th century
Seated in dhyanasana on a lotus base, his right hand in bhumisparsamudra, the left resting on his lap and holding the tip of his sanghati, adorned with a necklace and other jewelry, his face with almond-shaped eyes, aquiline nose, smiling lips, elongated earlobes with earrings and a tiara set in front of his ushnisha
