A bronze figure of Shiva
South India, Nayaka period, 16th/17th century
Standing in tribangha on a circular lotus base supported by a square plinth, holding a trident in his upper left hand and a thunderbolt in his right, wearing a short dhoti secured with an ornamented belt with sashes trailing down his sides, his face in a benign expression with full lips, straight nose, and arched brows, the hair piled into a high headress
