A YAOZHOU CELADON CARVED BOWL
NORTHERN SONG DYNASTY, 11TH-EARLY 12TH CENTURY
Well potted with deep, rounded sides rising to the everted rim, the exterior well carved with five flower sprigs and the interior divided into six petals by slender ribs of slip, all under a glaze of greyish-olive color, with a pale russet glaze on the neat ring foot; together with a Yueyao celadon chimera-form vessel, Western Jin dynasty, hollow modeled in a recumbent position, with combed and incised details, with a conical collar rising from the back, the grey ware covered with a finely crackled sea-green glaze
