A SMALL CARNELIAN AGATE PENDANT
SUZHOU, 18TH/19TH CENTURY
Of rounded rectangular form, one side well carved from the reddish-orange area of the semi-translucent stone with an attendant climbing up onto a recumbent elephant, framed by rocks that continue onto the reverse where another attendant carrying a fruit is carved from the white area, with silver loop
1¾ in. (4.5 cm.) long
