From the Shahnama of Firdawsi, gouache heightened with gold on paper, the scene probably depicting the wedding between 'Ardashir and Ardavan's daughter, wearing richly adorned hats seated in an interior and surrounded by two musicians and an attendant, the miniature within a text panel arranged in four columns with double intercolumnar divisions, a title in red nasta'liq, mounted, framed and glazed
