NORTH INDIA, 18TH CENTURY, THE MOUNT AND GILDING ENGLAND, 1810 AD
Of circular shape, the decoration organized around a large central rosette with swirling palmettes, composite flowers and pomegranates, the cavetto with gadrooning and the cusped rim with a band of trefoiled flowers, the pedestal stand a later addition with repoussé decoration of gadroons bearing English hallmarks, the stand screwed to a ring soldered to the underside of the tray, gilded.
