Lot Essay

Moholy-Nagy scholars Renate Heyne and Floris Neusüss suggest that, based on the similarity to other photograms in the collections of the Museum Folkwang, Essen and the Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris, the present photogram should be dated 1937 when Moholy-Nagy was teaching at the New Bauhaus in Chicago.
