by the Imperial Porcelain Factory, St Petersburg, period of Nicholas II, 1905, with State Porcelain factory mark, the artist's Cyrillic initials, dated 1921, the saucer with further initials 'RSFSR'
The cylindrical cup and rim of the circular saucer with gilt ciselé flowerheads and vase with brown and green foliate sprays on dark blue ground, both marked under bases with green underglaze crown monogram 'N II', dated 1905, brown overglaze hammer, sickle and cog, Cyrillic initials 'S. Ch.' 1921, the saucer additionally inscribed with 'RSFSR' in green, the cup inscribed in Cyrillic '19-S.Chekhonin-21' at foot
