Lot Essay

Christian Buhler was born in 1855 and held Würtemberg citizenship. In 1870 he became the Court jeweller and in 1878 established a shop specialising in gold and diamond-set items in St Petersburg, at Bolshaya Morskaya 9 (the shop was later owned by C. Bock). The shop traded until the beginning of the 20th century.
