Lot Essay

The present figural group is closely related to Louis Sauvageau's composition Cavalier chassant le tigre, which was also cast by the same fondeur and illustrated in P. Kjellberg, Les Bronzes du XIXeSiècle, Paris, 1989, p. 611.
