Details
Château Figeac--Vintage 1966
Saint-Emilion, 1er grand cru classé
Levels: bottom neck or better
"The 1966 Figeac shows a mature color, nearly tawny at the rim. On the nose there is a charmingly warm remnant of ripe red and black fruit, overlaid with notes of cedar, tobacco, and forest floor as well as a deep spiciness that recalls both licorice and soy. On the palate the wine is soft and understated, with a silken texture and tannins that have loosened their grip." CC, 9/2009, a bottle from this collection
