A CAMPANIAN RED-FIGURE LEKYTHOS
LATE 4TH CENTURY B.C.
With profile female head wearing stephane, her kekryphalos painted with red and white dotted decoration, elaborate palmette below handle, 7½ in. (19 cm.) high; and two Attic black-figure lekythoi, with rays around the shoulder, one with Dionysos reclining flanked by two dancing maenads, the other with Ajax and Achilles playing a board game, flanked by two horsemen, both 5th Century B.C., 6¾ in. (7.1 cm.) and 8¼ in. (21 cm.) high respectively (3)

Item one: formerly in an English private collection, acquired in the 1940s; sold Christie's London, 18 October 2005, lot 165.
