Peintre marocain découvert par Paul Bowles, Mohamed Hamri a travaillé dans les années 50 avec Brion Gysin. Son oeuvre représente une réalité marocaine traditionnelle. L'oeuvre d'Hamri a fait l'objet de nombreuses expositions, au Liban, en Europe, aux Etats-Unis et dans son propre pays.
