A CARVED RHINOCEROS HORN LIBATION CUP
17TH/18TH CENTURY
The handle carved and pierced as a pine tree with gnarled trunk, one branch descending from the rim to the foot and others extending over the rim and into the interior, the sides with three chilong clambering amongst rockwork and other trees, a fourth chilong with a lotus spray in its mouth descending amongst rockwork in the interior, the horn of a rich dark brown tone and the areas of highest relief well patinated
