A CHINESE MINIATURE BRASS STRIKING TABLE CLOCK WITH DUPLEX ESCAPEMENT

CASE: with brass handle, arched glazed side panels and on brass bracket feet
DIAL: blue enamel with gilt-painted borders and green and red painted decoration to the white enamel chapter disc, inscribed 'London' to the arch, blued steel hands
MOVEMENT: with twin chain fusees, engraved balance cock for steel balance to duplex escapement, rack strike on replaced bell, finely engraved back plate with 'nonsense' signature; winding key
7¾ in. (20 cm.) high, handle down; 5¼ in. (13.5 cm.) wide; 3¾ in. (9.5 cm.) deep
