AUBUSSON, LATE 17TH EARLY 18TH CENTURY
Woven in wools and silks, depicting birds in a wooded river landscape with a castle and settlements beyond, within a scrolling foliate and foliate border with stylised shell clasps to the angles and centred to the top with an oval medallion coat-of-arms beneath a plumed helmet, the blue outer strip signed 'M*R*DAVBVSSON*P', restorations and reweaving
7 ft. 10 in. x 14 ft. 11 in. (238 cm. x 455 cm.)
