A GROUP OF SEVEN JADE CARVINGS, SHANG DYNASTY (1600-1100BC) AND LATER
comprising a small rectangular brown black jade cong, with one side pierced; a pale celadon jade cylindrical bead with four vertical coils; a green jade grooved cylindrical ear disc or bead, carved with one slit through the length; two pale celadon flattened slit discs, one with plain decoration, the other with incised design to the sides and small notched flange projections around the outer rim; a thick calcified white jade ring; and a russet celadon jade cong, partly carlcified to white -- The first, 1 3/8in. (3.6cm.) wide. (7)
