A DOUBLE-SIDED CARVED JICHIMU WOOD PANEL, 18TH CENTURY
carved to the front with a typical representation of the 'Three Friends of Winter' (bamboo, prunus and pine), and a poem which may be translated: 'The three friends, bamboo, prunus and pine, hold together and thrive even in the severest winter weather', signed 'Yao Feng', the reverse with flowering lily sprays -- 22in. x 16in. (56cm. x 40.7cm.).
