AN ENAMELLED PORCELAIN SNUFF BOTTLE, 20TH CENTURY
with rounded body and twin beast-head and fixed ring handles, painted to the centre with the shuangyu (paired fish) symbol and one of the eight Buddhistic precious objects, surrounded by scrolling foliage on a turquoise ground, iron-red seal mark to base -- 2in. (5.2cm.) high, with porcelain stopper, fitted wood stand.
Provenance
From an English private collection acquired in China during the 1940's.
